Kevin McNulty, Sr. grew up in Momence, Illinois. His interest in local history led to the publication of Around Momence in 2007 and to a body of work about people, schools, communities and institutions across the region.
His work brings together a career in education, business, music, and publishing. Today, KMC Publishing produces Kevin’s books, books by other authors and histories for organizations seeking to commemorate a meaningful anniversary.

Kevin McNulty, Sr. was a high school band director for fifteen years at the start of his career. At age 38, he began a business career with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
He held various positions in other trade associations, including Bands of America, the International Warehouse and Logistics Association, before being named President and CEO of the National Association of the Remodeling Association, and later CEO of the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce.
While at the Southland Chamber, he hosted trade missions for Chicago-area companies to England, Germany, Poland, Hong Kong and mainland China. McNulty continues to speak frequently about his business, music education, and writing experiences over his diverse career.
In 2007, he and his business partner, James Chen of Hong Kong, formed Asia Access Jet Inc. to provide landing and parking for private jet owners attending the 2008 Beijing Olympics and for the Board of Directors of General Electric, which at the time owned NBC, the official network for the Olympics in the USA.
